Screw conveyors are primarily used for the internal transport of bulk materials. In terms of their design, they can be trough screw conveyors or tubular screw conveyors. The conveying element can be designed as a solid-blade screw, belt screw or spiral screw (shaftless), depending on the application. Furthermore, the screw trough can be insulated and heated. The screw conveyors can be manufactured stationary as well as swiveling and movable. Long conveyors are equipped with center bearings (suspension bearings). The shafts are supported by pillow block bearings in the end walls or, in the case of spiral screws, in the slip-on gearbox. The shafts are sealed in the end walls by adjustable stuffing boxes.

The conveyors are made of S235 and stainless steels 1.4301 and 1.4571. The conveyors made of S235 are hot-dip galvanized and can be given a color corrosion protection. Individual screw conveyors can also be manufactured upon request.

Type TSF (trough screw conveyor with shaft)

• Central shaft with welded spiral
• Long conveyors require intermediate bearings to support the shaft, which can affect the conveying performance
• The spiral runs without contact to the trough wall
• Low wear
• The bearings are provided with lubrication points that require regular maintenance
• Somewhat more expensive to purchase than a shaftless screw conveyor, as it is technically more complex

Type TSFS (trough screw conveyor shaftless)

• The spiral is self-supporting without center shaft
• The spiral moves on a 10 - 12 mm thick sliding insert made from wear-resistant plastic
• No impairment of the conveying capacity due to intermediate bearings
• The sliding system has a service life of approx. 10,000 hours, but this is very dependent on the product to be conveyed
• Slightly less expensive to purchase than a screw conveyor with shaft

Type RSF (tubular screw conveyor)

• In the RSF type, the structure is analogous to the TSF, with the shaft moving in a tube instead of in a trough with a removable cover
• As a result, an inspection or removal of a possible blockage is only possible by removing the shaft

Type DWM (double shaft mixer)

Double-shaft mixers are used where, apart from conveying, additional mixing or moistening with special nozzles is required.

The mixer shafts can be operated synchronously via a chain drive or counter-rotating with a spur gear drive. The mixer shafts are equipped with adjustable paddles or with belt spirals. The shaft spacing is selected so that the belt spirals or the paddles intermesh and are thus self-cleaning.

The mixers are manufactured from S235 and from the stainless steels 1.4301 and 1.4571. Mixers manufactured from S235 are hot-dip galvanized and can also be given a colored corrosion protection.

In order to be able to adapt the optimal mixing and conveying process to the product, the mixers are equipped with an adjustable drive. This can be a mechanically adjustable gear or a single-speed gear with frequency converter. The mixers can be set up at an angle of max. 8°.

The conveying capacity depends on the product, the angle of attack of the paddles and the speed.

Pressureless container

A pressureless vessel is a vessel that has no internal pressure. This means that the internal pressure of the container is equal to the external atmospheric pressure. A pressureless vessel is often used to store or transport liquid or gaseous substances. They are also commonly used in industry to perform processes that are sensitive to pressure changes.

Vacuum tank

A vacuum vessel is a vessel containing a vacuum, i.e. a partially or completely empty space in which no matter is present or very little matter is present. The pressure inside a vacuum vessel is lower than the external atmospheric pressure. Vacuum vessels are often used in industry to perform processes that are sensitive to pressure changes, such as food manufacturing or semiconductor processing.

Stirring tank

A stirred tank is a container with an agitator that is used to mix or stir the contents of the tank. Agitated vessels are often used in industry to mix or stir solid, liquid or gaseous substances.

Tanks

Tanks are widely used in industry and are often used to store or transport liquids, gases or other materials.
